In the Awareness for Communities about Energy (ACE) Program, SEI is using the ACE program to promote energy conservation and efficiency in communities by creating partnerships among three populations: students, senior citizens, and small business owners. Since 1998 ACE-trained students have worked in more than 500 senior facilities, small businesses and residences to help reduce energy use and costs with a potential for savings of almost 1,500,000 kWh of electricity and $200,000 in costs.
