Guayakí sources shade-grown yerba mate as a way to incentivize land conservation and financially support the communities that live and steward the South American Atlantic Rainforest. Working with indigenous yerba mate producers, Guayakí continues to play an important role in helping to defend one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. By stewarding the land, Guayakí also preserves essential ecosystem services, including carbon storage, climate stabilization, water filtration, and the regulation of local water cycles.
