About
Guiding businesses, communities and cities to proactively prepare for the impacts of our changing climate by promoting non-toxic, climate friendly alternatives to protect and improve our health as well as the health of our delicate ecosystems. We accomplish this by talking with people on a variety of topics such as: reasonable options to single use plastics, how to properly recycle (and what can and cannot be recycled curbside) and why separating our food waste is a powerful circular solution, vital for our soil and air quality. We also focus on the importance of effective and transparent climate planning as well as advocating for health equity and environmental justice for all residents.
Why we're Green
We believe the small choices and decisions we make can have a big impact. We lead by example - this is why our business focused on ensuring we did everything possible to limit our waste and reduce our contribution to pollution. From installing solar panels, replacing our car transportation with a single EV (and charging during the day instead of the evening), walking/biking whenever possible...to electrifying our business, separating food waste from our trash, eliminating the use of toxic chemicals & greatly reducing single use plastics.
We are certified at the innovator level because we work with businesses and cities to promote eco-friendly practices, while pointing out where they can improve. The changes we've made since getting certified include: replacing fluorescent lighting and replacing a gas water heater with an efficient electric model (which is primarily powered off our solar system) . We intend to replace our other gas appliances this year.
