Since the property was purchased in 2010, Rincon has been upgrading and renovating our office structure in order to reduce energy use, reduce water use, and to enhance the work environment for its employees. Within the last year, as part of the effort to renovate the 180 North Ashwood office and to achieve LEED certification, Rincon has replaced plumbing fixtures (four toilets, a urinal, four restroom faucets, and a showerhead) with low-flow fixtures, replaced light bulbs with more efficient bulbs, replaced light ballasts with motion sensor switches, installed retractable shades to promote natural lighting, and completed an energy and HVAC system audit. The company has repainted the entire exterior and interior using zero VOC paints and coatings, and has replaced interior office doors with dual-paned glass doors capable of providing natural light in halls and corridors.
