Poder Popular advocates for economic, educational, health, domestic violence, nutrition and other social services for residents in The Santa Clara Valley, including Santa Paula, Fillmore Piru and neighboring communities. Poder Popular is a bona fide grassroots organization fiscally sponsored by LUCHA. It has built power by engaging local residents to identify problems and find solutions through advocacy, negotiation, confrontation and community pressure. Our members have enrolled in training sessions and workshops on community development, community health, landlord-tenant rights, immigration and strategies to keep our community safe during the pandemic.
