Buchanan eliminated the use of reusable plastic bags during the Green Business process and it had no negative impact on the level of service provided to our customers. Buchanan’s staff occasionally has to explain to a customer why we no longer have bags available and the explanation is always accepted. The Store at Buchanan installed recycle bins for customer use, recycles all used coffee grounds, and sells all of their fresh salads in containers made from recycled plastic bottles.
