The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is part of Santa Clara County government, and provides administrative support to the Board of Supervisors, various Boards and Commissions, the Assessment Appeals Boards and Hearing Officers, and serves as an official repository of County records. The majority of its functions are defined and mandated by various state laws and local ordinances and rules.
Why we're Green
The Clerk of the Board's Office is committed to streamlining work through implementing various business process changes, with the goal of increased efficiences that reduce the use of paper. Examples of the department's recent efforts in this regard include implementing a new electronic filing systm for Conflict of Interest statements for approximately 4,000 filings received each year, implementing electronic timecards for department staff that eliminated paper timecards and paper time-off requests, and implementing electronic faxes that eliminated paper faxes.
