About
We are a church. If the BVUUF is "owned" by anyone it is our members who support it financially on a monthly basis. That includes women, BIPOC, veterans and LGBTQIA.
Why we're Green
The church uses zero fossil fuels, it is totally electric.
The GeoExchange system uses a Ground Source Heat Pump and Loop Field to supply heat and cooling, and all the appliances are electric.
The only carbon is associated with the building is in the materials used to build the church, and that process is done.
Xcel energy that provides the electricity is 32 % renewable energy and will be 80% by 2030, or sooner.
We get $$ credits from Jack’s Solar Farm since we have 20 panels which produce about 15,500 kWh per year
